75 years of ARGO-HYTOS
November 2024 Markus Munz joins the ARGO-HYTOS Group AG as COO. In this position, he will make a significant contribution to achieving the strategic goals of ARGO-HYTOS. “I am looking forward to leading ARGO-HYTOS into the next phase of growth and further expanding our innovative strength,” says Markus Munz.
June 2024 Dr. Marcus Fischer takes over as the new CEO of ARGO-HYTOS. With 17 years of experience at ARGO-HYTOS, including roles as Head of Development, Group CTO and COO and thus being responsible for both development and all of the Group's production plants, he brings extensive expertise and leadership to his new position.
July 2023 Mr. Benjamin Bass, former SVP Group Division Reporting & Controlling at Voith Turbo, takes on the role of Chief Financial Officer at ARGO-HYTOS Group in Switzerland.
August 2022 Takeover of the majority shares of the ARGO-HYTOS Group by the Voith Group based in Heidenheim. ARGO-HYTOS will be integrated into the Group Division Voith Turbo and leads the off-highway sector.
July 2022 ARGO-HYTOS celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
From its foundation in 1947, the company has evolved into a worldwide acting supplier of smart system solutions for Fluid & Motion Control and Filtration technology. Especially in the mobile hydraulics sector ARGO-HYTOS has developed into one of the innovation leaders.
Organizational changes within the ARGO-HYTOS Group AG
July 2021: Mr. Christian Kienzle hands over the position of CEO to Mr. Erich Hofer and will now, in his new role as Chairman of the Board of Directors, focus more on the organizational and strategic orientation of the Group.
2021 Development and expansion of the aftermarket programm
August 2020: The filter element production was relocated to the new Smart L.E.A.F. plant in Kraichtal. After the relocation, production in the new filter element factory has successfully started as scheduled.

2020 ARGO-HYTOS GMBH completes construction work on the new SMART L.E.A.F. filter element factory in Kraichtal after 11 months. Official move-in is scheduled for August 2020

1948 Start of manufacturing of simple sheet metal parts and immersion heaters using machines transferred to Kraichtal during the war, in the decommissioned cigar factory formerly operated by Funke und Huster in Menzingen.
In the first years after the war, production of Kienzle splinter guards, and later magnetic coils for filtering out metallic particles in oil, as well as precision instruments such as vibration recorders, machine monitoring instruments, time recorders and temperature recorders as a supplier to Kienzle Apparate GmbH in Villingen.
1947 July 7th Founding of Argo GmbH für Feinmechanik in Stuttgart by Master of Economics Jochen Kienzle for the production of taxi meter watches and precision instruments, with Jochen Kienzle as the Managing Director and Karl Reichert as authorised representative
