Application
Hydraulic press with a large oil volume for forming sheet metal parts for the automotive industry.

Starting situation / problem
With a hydraulic press, hydraulic oil may reach the lubricating circuit due to leaks in the system. This will dilute the lubricating oil and a sufficient lubrication function can no longer be guaranteed.

Solution
Use of the oil condition sensor LubCos Vis+ to measure the viscosity of the lubricating oil and thus to determine the mixing. When the viscosity drops under the required minimum level,  counter measures can be initiated and the system can be protected from damage.

Benefit
Cost effective, continuous monitoring of the viscosity without complex laboratory tests, additional display of the oil temperature.
