The ARGO-HYTOS Group operates a website with general information and an interactive area for downloading documents. I. Data Collection
We will collect your personal data in the following cases:

1. Visit the website
When you visit our website, our servers temporarily store data in a log file, the so-called server log files. This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. The following data is stored:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access/retrieval
- Name and URL of the retrieved data
- Your computer's operating system and the browser you are using
- Country from which our website is accessed
- Name of the Internet Service Provider
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Last visited website

- Language and version of the browser software

Legal basis: The processing activity is based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
Storage period: The data is stored for 10 days and then deleted.
Provision: The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed.
2. Contact form
When you contact us via the contact form, the information you provide will be processed for the purpose of handling and processing your enquiry. If you wish to contact us, the following information is required to process your enquiry:
- Surname
- Company
- Street
- POSTCODE
- City
- Country
- Telephone
- Customer relationship with ARGO-HYTOS (new/existing)
- Reason for the enquiry (message)
The legal basis for the processing activity is our legitimate interest in this service. If the purpose of the contact is to fulfil a contract to which you or the company you work for are a party or to carry out pre-contractual measures, this is an additional legal basis for the processing activity. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.
3. Newsletter
Purpose and legal basis: Your data will only be used to send you the newsletter you have subscribed to by email and, if you have also consented to this, to analyse how you use the newsletter and any content linked to it. Your name is provided so that we can address you personally in the newsletter and, if necessary, identify you if you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.
The legal basis for these processing activities is your consent in each case.
The following data is also collected during registration:
- IP address of the calling computer
- Date and time of registration
Recipient of the data: We use the company Hubspot Germany GmbH, Koppenstrasse 93, 10243 Berlin, Germany, which acts as our data processor for the dispatch and any analyses that may be carried out.
Storage period: Data will only be processed in this context as long as the corresponding consent has been given.
Provision of data on a voluntary basis: The provision of your personal data is voluntary, solely on the basis of your consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you our newsletter without your consent.
Withdrawal of consent: You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and withdraw your consent to the storage of your personal data. You will find the unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
4. Registration Download Portal PRM
Purpose and legal basis: Your data will only be used to enable you to download the parameterisation software, firmware and init files of your purchased content. The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of personalised communication with you.
When you register for the PRM download portal, you will receive password-protected access to the download portal. The following information is mandatory for the operation of the portal:
- First name
- Surname
- Company
- Password
- Repeat password
- SAP no. of the product (according to type plate)
- Serial number of the product (according to type plate)
The legal basis for these processing activities is your consent in each case.
Storage period: Data will only be processed in this context as long as the corresponding consent has been given.
Provision of data on a voluntary basis: The provision of your personal data is voluntary, solely on the basis of your consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you our newsletter without your consent.
Withdrawal of consent: You have the option of cancelling your registration account at any time. If you cancel your registration account, your data relating to the download portal will be deleted, subject to statutory retention obligations.
5. Job Applications
If you apply for a job with us, your personal data will be processed by the HR department of ARGO-HYTOS GmbH or the Group company offering the position for the purpose of handling the application procedure. This processing activity may also be carried out electronically. If we conclude an employment contract with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions.
If the application process ends without employment, your data will be deleted in accordance with the deadlines applicable in your country, unless you have given us your express consent for longer storage. You have the option to withdraw this consent at any time.
6. Orders, commissions
If you are named as a contact person in a supply contract or order between us and a company or in an order that we place with a company, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of fulfilling and processing the contract or order. This processing activity may also be carried out electronically. The following data is stored:
- Name
- First name
- Function in the company
- Telephone number (direct dialling)
The legal basis for the processing activity is the fulfilment of the contract, order or assignment. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or statutory retention periods end.
II. Data Transfer
We will only pass on your personal data if you have expressly consented to this, if we are legally obliged to do so or if this is necessary in the context of using the website, answering questions, processing orders or providing the services you have requested. In addition, we may transfer your data to our affiliated group companies and sales partners in accordance with our website.
The use of the data passed on to third parties is limited to the stated purposes. The third-party companies are committed to protecting your data and privacy to the same extent as we do. If the level of data protection in a country is not deemed to be equivalent to Swiss conditions under the DSG or the EU GDPR, we will ensure by means of a contract that your personal data is protected at all times in accordance with the DSG or the EU GDPR.

III. Duration of Data Storage
We retain personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for the period to which we are committed under applicable laws and regulations or contractual agreements. We delete personal data that we no longer need.
IV. Your Data Protection Rights
If ARGO-HYTOS collects and processes personal data about you, you have the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object and the right to withdraw consent. To ensure that we do not disclose personal data to unauthorised persons, we may require proof of identity and information about your interaction with us.
Information: You have the right to request information about whether and to what extent we process personal data about you as well as more detailed information about the use of your data.
Rectification: You have the right to request the rectification of your data stored by us if you believe that it is incorrect or incomplete.
Erasure: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data. This is possible if you withdraw your consent to data processing, if we no longer need your data for the original purpose or if we are not legally committed to retaining the data.
Restrictions on processing: You have the right to have the processing activity of your personal data restricted - for example, if you dispute the accuracy of the personal data or wish to restrict the use of the data.
Data portability: Under certain circumstances, you have the right to request that the personal data you have provided to us be handed over to you or to a controller designated by you in a common electronic, machine-readable data format.

Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw your previously given consent to the processing activity of your personal data for one or more purposes at any time. Please note that the withdrawal is only effective for the future. Processing activities that took place before the revocation are not affected.
As a citizen of the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority locally responsible for you in your country. The measures taken are intended to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data and to ensure the availability and resilience of our systems and services in the processing activity of your data in the long term. They should also ensure that the data is quickly restored and available in the event of a physical or technical incident.
Access to personal data is generally restricted by us. Persons who have access to personal data are committed to keeping this information confidential.
