What does a day in the role of your position look like?
Luckily there is no typical day in my role. With a wide range of responsibilities, I work on strategical issues as well as on operational topics. In Quality Management it is all about continuous improvement of products, services and processes. Being globally responsible for the Quality Management and the multiple site certifications for ISO 9001 means a lot of interaction with the ARGO-HYTOS entities, communication, coordination and monitoring of quality figures. I also come into play, if quality issues need to be solved and escalations need to be handled.
Furthermore, being in charge of the Sustainability project at ARGO-HYTOS, I am working on things like Global Carbon Footprint, reduction of CO2 emissions and Sustainability Scorings.
What was the moment where you knew you made the right decision to join ARGO-HYTOS?
That’s probably too long ago to remember specifically! But it was for sure the realization of great opportunities to develop the system and myself. I appreciate interacting with customers, suppliers and colleagues all over the world. To see real possibilities for change and development is very motivating.
What do you value the most about ARGO-HYTOS?
I really cherish the very open-minded cooperation throughout the ARGO-HYTOS world and in the global Quality Management team. Having the freedom to be creative and bring up new ideas gives me a good feeling.
ARGO-HYTOS is all about coming up with solutions. How do you (and your team) come up with solutions? How does ARGO-HYTOS as an employer support you (and your team) in bringing these solutions to life?
For both topics, Quality and Sustainability, it’s all about continuous improvement. Settling for the status quo is a step backwards. We learn from the past and enhance for the future. It is our ambition to bring awareness for Quality and Sustainability to an even higher level throughout the organization – it is always a balancing act between regulations and agile processes.
The organization supports and challenges us on the one hand with ambitious targets and space for ideas on the other. This applies to Quality as well as Sustainability. We strive for better products, produced with better processes in a better world.
